The queen of May for your skincare

Ladies and gentlemen, the rose! This beautiful flower is the quintessential symbol of femininity, the queen of all gardens and the most classic and romantic choice for May brides. Here you find her majesty bowing to you, ready to help you take care of your beauty.

Roses are in fact a powerful ally to make your skin blossom again, when it is dull and lackluster. We all know that luminous, dewy skin never goes out of style. In your bouquet of roses there are so many virtues: antioxidants, flavonoids, vitamin C, carotenoids… and minerals such as calcium, potassium, iodine and copper.

Roses stimulate your immune system, revitalize your skin, rebalance your nervous system. The most famous remedy is rose water, a refreshing facial toner good for all skin types. Rosa mosqueta oil (aka rosehip seed oil) is amazing in case of wrinkles: add 4-5 drops in your daily moisturizer and you’ll get the perfect natural anti-aging cosmetic.

What if your skin looks unhealthy and irritated? According to the ayurvedic tradition, the powder obtained from the dry petals of Damask rose is great to calm the skin as it is a powerful natural anti-inflammatory. For a calming mask, apply on your face this mixture: 1 Tbsp of rose powder, 1 Tbsp of rose water and 2 Tbsp of aloe gel. Then rinse off.
