Wedding eyes: tips and tricks for lashes and brows!

Talking about wedding make-up (which is usually pretty nude), eye care is truly important. Your trusted photographer will shot many close-ups where the details of your glance will be clearly visible: everything with your wedding eyes has to look the right way. Our make-up artist Zaira Fontaneto promises: “if you work hard on the intensity of your eyes and glance with the proper make-up, 50% of the job is already done”.

Intensification means hard work not simply on the eyelids, but also on your eyelashes and on your brows. Did you know it even exists a real lashes extension? This is a pretty little trick that gives a natural look to your eyes because it makes them look wider and bigger: they are perfect both for your wedding day and for your honeymoon.

But how do they work? Zaira explains: “you should have it done at least three days before your wedding. The preparations last about one hour and a half and you can have them ready at your trusted beautician’s while comfortably lying on their lounger”. With a lashes extension you won’t need a mascara for at least one full month: it has the very same effect, with no black lumps attached! Many lengths are available, as well as many thicknesses and bendings.

And what about your brows? They are also really important and you may want to choose the right technique to value them. Zaira suggests not to cut them: “If they’re very thick, a beauty professional should better intervene by defining the line. Every face has its ideal model and I suggest to use a geometrical technique: it helps to get the right proportions depending on the bride’s eye and eyebrows shape, especially between the beginning, the highest angle and the end of the eyebrow”. If you find them too dark, try to thin them out before deciding to dye them, by picking the longest and darkest hair. Be careful!
